This day is stamped in my mind forever. It was one of those idyllic fall days when the breeze is like silk caressing your skin and you feel as one with nature and peace fills your very soul. So glad I have pictures as a reminder of the day when all was right with the world.

Can you tell I love my home state of Arkansas?

Burns Park in North Little Rock Arkansas consist of 1,700-acres featuring a pre-Civil War log cabin, a covered bridge, a fishing pier, playgrounds, 36-hole golf course, camping, 36-hole disc golf course, tennis, trails, soccer complex, seasonal amusement park, archery range, dog park.

I love the beauty of this wooden covered bridge in Burns Park. I never tire of looking at it.

There are  many pictures taken with greater skill, but none with more love and enjoyment and since this blog is about my work and what I enjoy, my pictures are perfect.

In the image above, I lowered the camera until the sky was eliminated from the frame.  Lowering the camera had the added benefit of allowing me to capture the bridge’s reflection in the stream which adds a nice element to the scene.  In the picture below, I could…

An Exploration of Arkansas’ Past and Present

I am so excited to start this journey of exploration of Arkansas and sharing with you through pictures and word. Hopefully I will introduce you to historic places that we often pass every day without knowing about them.

I spent a beautiful day in February exploring Burns Park with a friend, we had a delightful day enjoying the log cabin, the train, the covered bridge as well as spending time along the river bank. You can share the day with us by clicking here.
